DESCRIPTION
A D Shackle (also called a Dee Shackle) is a U-shaped metal connector secured by a pin or bolt across the opening. Its compact "D" shape offers superior strength for straight-line pulls or lifts, making it ideal for connecting lifting slings, chains, rope, or other hardware during material handling, rigging, or lifting operations. D shackles are commonly used in construction, marine, transportation, and industrial settings. Available with either a screw pin (for quick assembly and disassembly) or nut-and-bolt types (for more permanent or high-security applications), they are manufactured from high-grade alloy steel, stainless steel, or galvanized steel for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. The working load limit (WLL) and other specification details are typically stamped on the shackle body for safe use.
