DESCRIPTION

The DI U-Bolt Mechanical Tee is a saddle-style fitting designed to provide a fast, threaded branch connection on an existing pipeline. It consists of a single Ductile Iron housing (the "saddle") and a heavy-duty steel U-bolt that wraps around the pipe. An integrated EPDM gasket provides the seal over a pre-drilled hole in the main pipe. This design is particularly popular for adding branch lines in fire sprinkler systems and industrial air/water lines because it is lighter and easier to install in tight spaces than a full-body mechanical tee.​
