DESCRIPTION
ER70S2 is a copper-coated, triple-deoxidized mild steel TIG filler rod especially suitable for high-quality welding on a wide variety of carbon steels and low-alloy steels. It is formulated with small amounts of titanium, zirconium, and aluminum (in addition to manganese and silicon) to provide superior tolerance to limited amounts of rust, mill scale, and oil. This results in crack-free, radiographic-quality welds. It is widely used for root passes in pipe welding, structural steel, automotive, pressure vessels, and general fabrication work.
