DESCRIPTION
A Round File (also called a rat-tail file) is a hand tool with a circular cross-section used for smoothing, enlarging, shaping, and finishing holes, curved surfaces, and concave contours. It is ideal for filing internal rounded edges, circular openings, and for general metalworking, woodworking, and plastic shaping. The tapered shape of many round files allows access to narrow or hard-to-reach areas.
